Dear Legacy Point families,
3 more weeks left! This year has definitely flown by. The LPE Staff is feeling the
restraints of time and it is certainly bittersweet for us. Here are a couple of things of which
to be aware...

Over the past few weeks, the Douglas County community has provided valuable input into
our strategic planning process. In March, approximately 300 community members and 500
staff participated in facilitated conversations where they provided feedback about Douglas
County School District. That input was used to craft questions for an online survey.

In early April, over 30,000 staff, community members and students participated in that
online survey, which helped outline community priorities for the upcoming strategic plan.
Now, we encourage community members to attend an upcoming meeting to learn
more about how community input is being incorporated into the creation of DCSD’s
new strategic plan. Attendees will learn about the strategic plan themes that have been
generated from community feedback, so far, and have the opportunity to provide input into the

Please help us make sure that the Legacy Point voice is well represented at one of these upcoming community conversations. No RSVP is required. However, it is so important for our community members to provide input and insight into this plan. I strongly encourage you to attend!
Help us determine the next steps necessary to ensure that each and every student in Douglas County School District is ready for a successful life after high school, and beyond.

Box Tops Coordinator
We are in need of a volunteer to coordinate the Box Tops for Education initiative. This helps our school raise money for our school each year. Responsibilities would include collecting, sorting and counting the box tops on a schedule that meets your needs. Coordinator would also access online redemption opportunities, sweepstakes and collection sheets. You may have some friends join you for this to help. Please call the LPE office if you will help us. Thank you in advance!
Lost and Found
We will be donating all of the Lost and Found items at the end of the school year. We will place all items out beginning mid May. Please come by to claim to see what might have been left behind.
SAC/PTIB
We are still seeking interested parents to help with events throughout next school year. If you are interested in helping in very small or larger ways, please call our office. It takes all of us to make this community amazing!
Have a great weekend and let's finish strong!
