What a year it has been! We have so much to celebrate and the energy in our staff is palpable. We have made "Safe and Collaborative Culture" our focus this year and our end of the year data is off the charts. The percentages below indicate how many staff members agreed with the statement.
1.1 The faculty and staff perceive the school environment as safe and orderly: 98%
1.2 Students, parents, and the community perceive the school environment as safe and orderly: 100%
1.3 Teachers have formal roles in the decision-making process regarding school initiatives: 98%
1.4 Teacher teams and collaborative groups regularly interact to address common issues regarding curriculum, assessment, instruction, and the achievement of all students: 100%
1.5 Teachers and staff have formal ways to provide input regarding the optimal functioning of the school: 98%
1.6 Students, parents, and the community have formal ways to provide input regarding the optimal functioning of the school: 98%
1.7 The success of the whole school, as well as individuals within the school, is appropriately acknowledged: 98%
1.8 The fiscal, operational, and technological resources of the school are managed in a way that directly supports teachers: 100%
The statewide TLCC data, which is found on the Colorado Department of Education site supports this data as does the Leader in Me data that we collected. Our success is clear, as are our next steps.
In addition to this, we have created monthly Leadership Assemblies in which we celebrate students, we have established a school-wide incentive system with students filling compasses, created systems and routines to create an effectively run school, and implemented ways to honor and acknowledge staff success. We will keep all of the impactful things we have done this year and shift our focus to "Effective Teaching" next year. Our theme will be about empowering instruction to make a difference for students. We can't wait!
Thank you for your generous donations for our retreat! Because of your generosity, we are able to provide a lunch for staff on the first day of the retreat, and a catered breakfast for the second day. We are truly humbled and can't wait for our time together. Thank you!
This summer we encourage you to continue to collect Box Tops. Go to this link and select the Flip Flops and Box Tops image. Print and help us raise money all summer long! Return the filled sheet at the beginning of the year in our box located at the front office.
Today your child received a leadership certificate. On the back are some ideas on how to bridge the gap of leadership from school to summer. Please have them fill out the back of the certificate, sign it and return it on the first day for a leadership prize. If you'd like to keep the certificate, feel free to make a copy of it to sign and return. Thank you for your support with this!
Thank you to the following parents who have served on our SAC or PTIB and are retiring from their positions: Molly Hinrichs-Ramos, Tiffany Grizzle, Susan Johnston, and Christine Rumler. We appreciate all of the hard work, dedicated service and strong leadership they provided to LPE. You have left your legacy at Legacy Point!
Thank you for making this year so successful and welcoming me back into the community. I have enjoyed every minute.
We look forward to seeing you on August 6th at 4:30-6:30 for our Meet and Greet and School Supply Drop Off. If you need us, the office will be open on Wednesdays at 8:00-2:00. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer.
Thank you!
